Re: printer cartridge error....Not HP brand

You need to use a HP cartridge itself.....try that will work !!!!!!!!!!!! You know why? Every HP printer and cartridge have a firmware information loaded onto their circuit ( copper circuit )and would function well only if they understand each other.... try it out.....

Help me please, i have new HP j3508, but when i install new cartridge into my HP 3508, the message on the screen says :"Cartridge Error" cartridge on right is not intended for this printer... help me

You need to remove the cartridges, see to it that the colored cartridge are olaced in its right location the same as with the black cartridge to avoid an error.

I keep getting a msg saying carterage error on my printer

If you DID NOT use a HP cartridge you get the error message.
If you did use a HP cartridge. Unplug the printer. Wait 2 minutes.
Plug in the printer. If same error message. Remove cartridge and reinstall. Make sure no clear tape is left on cartridge contact face.

Printer keeps saying "INSTALL BLACK CARTRIDGE".

If you are using Windows.
Go into "Start", "Printers and Faxes".
Right click on the printer icon.
Click properties.
Look for reset cartridge.
Or something similar.
That should fix the problem.

I changed out the cartridge and the error comees back saying to check cartridge on right. I've done it several times and can't see thing wrong with what I done.

I would try a brand new HP black ink cartridge. Those ink cartridges are not made to be refilled according to HP. If you were to call HP and tell them you had a refilled cartridge they would stop the service call right there and tell you to try a genuine HP cartridge.

Printer does not recognize color cartridge for my HP OfficeJet 7410

Are you sure it's a genuine HP cartridge? Sometimes remanufactured cartridges aren't recognized by the printers. HP and others make them so that they have a chip inside that ensures only new genuine cartridges can be used. Try a new HP and see if that solves the problem. If you've already tried that one, then make sure the contacts in the printer are clean. If you still have a problem, then I'd say try a new printer!

Right cartridge incorrect

If it says to check the right cartridge (Black), replace it with a brand new one or one you know is good.

Walgreens will test and refill your cartridge for ~$10.00 (black).

I have heard of new OEM HP cartridges being bad.

The printer checks the cartridge level sensor and the electrical stuff.

Installed new cartridges; keep getting error message

I'd say your using dodgy aftermarket or non HP cartridges, you could put your old ones in and see if message goes away, if having problem when using with Original HP cartridges post back and I'll did deeper for you.

I dont work for HP, I do know printers :-)

Printer cartridges

Are you trying to use brand new HP cartridges? If you are using an off brand cartridge (even if it says it will work with an HP printer) these do NOT always work. If they are HP brand then you might not be removing the plastic from them all the way (check for plastic covering the metal contacts on the bottom and the back of the cartridge which could be imparing contact). Also, make sure you are seating them properly. Some cartridges require you push them firmly into place. It shouldn't take a LOT of force to do so, but it would require more then just sliding it into place.
