I have a Casio TK 6500 cash register, and need to reprogram the sales tax (Darn California keeps on raising taxes), but the manual is terrible. Can somebody help me?

You're right, the manual is terrible but I think I got it worked out...
Turn to PGM mode.
  • Press 3 then subtotal button.
  • Press subtotal button again.
  • Then endter tax rate (if even enter two digits 05 for 5%, if more enter 4 digits like 5.75 *5+.+7+5 for 5.75%) and press ca/amt tend button
  • Press 0 and press ca/amt tend button
  • Press 0125 and press ca/amt tend button *this is for rounding/tax table code not positive on this one but looks like the right entry for "add on" tax
  • Press sub total button
This should change your tax
