Can not use the touch keypad and the volume is on...

Hi,my player is new,just used for 1 month...suddenly I noticed I can adjust the volume as the touchkey pad does not respond.it still playes but i can adjust the volume or do any other action.
I did re-start but nothing helps.Can you help?many thanks,Liat
