Question about LG WFT1071TP Top Load Washer

Running water Hi I have an LG isensor 13kg washing machine. When the water runs through from the tap into the washing maching, it drains the water immediately out again. I tried by choosing a program (wash, rinse and spin) and i tried to do it seperately as well. It counts down on the timer but never starts to wash the clothes. As the water flows in, it flows right out again. Thanks, J

    Hi,

In my machine earlier water was filling up after 2-3 minutes but now water fills up only upto certain level (may be 6 inches) and then drains out automatically. I thought may be level problem so i removed it from its stand but still the same. We kept it under our cabinet and as it is top load we had to pull it out to use it. Has this pulling out and then pushing in has created any problem? Kindly advise some solution.

    Thankyou

We drained it before we had freezing temps but after it was warm, you can hear the solenoid click and a little flow but, will not put water through the soap dish or fill. We're having to put the soap in with the clothes and water. I think it does rinse. How hard is it so replace the fill solenoid? How to get to it and how much does one cost?

Sounds like your stand-pipe has fell over, located behind machine that the drain hose goes into. This pipe must be vertical, and secure. The top of the washers drain hose loop that goes into the stand-pipe, should be as high as your soap dispenser. If this is not the problem then your water pump must be pumping the water out all the time. Can you hear the pump? If so, some faults can force the washing machine into a constant cycle of filling with cold water and pumping the water away if it thinks the washing machine is overheating (possible faulty thermistor).Hopefully its only your stand-pipe causing the loss of water.Lets know how you get on.Good luck.

There is a full explanation of possible causes here - http://www.washerhelp.co.uk/diy-repair-help_7.html#cl_q1 (Washing machine constantly fills with water and goes down the drain)

Lg tromm washer what does IE stand for?wash machine stops running and IE appears

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

LG's 'IE' stands for (water) 'Inlet Error'.

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

I have a samsung 13kg diamond drum toploader, my problem is after selecting all relevent options to wash my clothes when the machine start washing the clothes it also drain some water out. My clothes end...

If the drain hose is pushed too far down the drain pipe, it will have a tendency to to siphon out. Only use 1 or 2 table spoons of detergent as the washer uses very little amounts of water. Read your instruction manual as it says the drain hose has to be higher than a certain height before it goes to the drain.

My LG Front Load washer starts to wash, then when it tries to drain, it stops and shows error code OE. I checked back drain hose and they are not kinked. I removed front filter in bottome left and water...

Hi dear.OE code meaning on Lg washer's"machine unable to drain in 10minutes". You can make a little test. Please remove the filter & pour some water in side drum ,watch for water coming out of filter. If it's slow, tub to pump hose clogged.(there must be some sort of fluff or coin clogging hose)if it's not slow, waters comes out freely, run machine on drain cycle & check the pump motor is it running smoothly? If not change the pump.I hope that helps.Thanks.
