yes over heating best to go microsoft care point or support online at x-box site and see what your nearest service point.
-my self ,i use to fix two fans one to increase the cooling system and one to brought out the heat, all most the solution care about increase the cooling factor, but they always ignoring that the heat should be go out.
by this you can play most of games and operate your x-box as long you want .
-some of x-box board components might affected by been heated and cooling in normal operating so this case you should reflow the GPU and CPU.
Nothing safe than use jovy RE-7500 to make this process .
