SOURCE: igniter of back burner dies not click or light
I had the same issue with washing the top with water and cleaning solution. I had arching, eventually one burner failed to ignite. I tried the above solution and it did not work. Remove the ceramic top on the burner that will not ignite. Turn on another working element. Do you see the igniter working?
If so slowly turn on the gas on the failed burner and it will ignite. I'm looking into what component automatically controls the igniting and gas release when the knob is turned on.
SOURCE: gas range igniters won't shut off
The problem that you're describing is commonly associated with the spark modulator. It usually occurs after a spill or when the ignitor electrodes have remained wet after a cleaning. If after a day or two it continues to spark intermittently on its own, then the only recourse would be to replace the module. Hope this helps,,,, Bill
SOURCE: re: Jenn Air #svd48600b Gas Stove Top works...
Having a problem with the stove on this Jenn Air svd48600b.
Often with the oven warms up to 350F it starts beeping at and shuts off.
It flashes either just an FC error code, or FC and F5.
It is often possible to get the oven to work again if you wait 10-15min and cycle the power.
I imagine something is wrong with a heat sensor? The temperature sensor
responsible for displaying temperature on the control panel seems fine
though.
One other detail, even when the oven doesn't shut off at hot
temperatures, the fan comes on (at around 220F) and stays on for over an hour after the
oven is turned off.
Does anyone know if there is a different temperature sensor that might
cause this? Is there a specific electronics board that may be leading
to this problem.
when it heats up.
