Oki C5200n Print problem

When I print a demo page, everything prints well with great print quality. But at the bottom of the page there are 7 rectangular color boxes. These boxes look great except for the last three boxes which are red, green and purple. It looks like they have a yellow edge around the box. It looks as if the yellow toner is misaligned and therefore creating a yellow edge. I haven't hooked this printer up yet and I fear I have a bad printer. Please help! I also have another C5200n that the black print is really dark and seem to be blurred. seems like too much black toner is dropping. Please help!!! I have 2 printers that don't work correctly!

I noticed the same problem with the yellow some weeks back. Then the magenta and cyan also went out of line, but in another direction, and only on one edge of the paper. I tried cleaning the rollers, both input and output. The color alignment adjust on the machine's instrument panel seems to have no effect on output. Oki tech support wants me to send it away for repairs.

SOURCE: printer driver

Hi All, After installing Leopard 10.5 I noticed that I was having problems printing from my C5200n OkiData printer. I contacted OkiData Support by email, within 2 days they emailed me back with a beta driver for the C5200n and it worked perfectly. So the solution is to email them from their support portion of OkiData website and they will cure your problem until the drivers are posted for the public.

SOURCE: Color toners are empty

Press Green Tick, Right, -> System Setup -> Right, Right, -> Print Quality, Right -> Replace Supplies. Change from stop at out, to override at out. It'll let you print, and you'll get loads more out of your toner before the pages start to fade.

You cant. laser printers (or led like oki) or more specifically dry toner electrostatic printers always have a margin to prevent the paper from jamming. the only way to print "full bleed" is to put paper in that is bigger than what you need, print the image, and trim it down.

How do i clean the print heads on a oki c5200

With the top cover open, gently wipe the LED head(s) with the lens cleaner pad supplied with replacement toner cartridges. A soft, lint-free cloth with some isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol)** can also be used.As the last step before closing the cover when replacing a toner cartridge or an image drum.
If you are experience poor print quality, including
- longitudinal white stripes or fading
- blurred letter edges
CAUTION! Do not use methyl alcohol or other solvents on the LED heads: this will damage the lens surface.

My oki data C5200 in printing a faded picture along the right side of the page only. I have cleaned the print heads and checked the levels in the cartridges. Everything seems to be fine. Can you help?

Take the toner-cartridge out, and gently tilt it left-and-right
to redistribute the remaining toner in the cartridge.
Reinstall it.

Delete driver, download latest from oki, reinstall, is this networked or USB?

Is printer free from error lights, check page settings.

more I think about it, it seems to be a network/driver issue.

If printer can stand alone print ok ie menu map, then it is either the cable but more often the driver.

Check IP config if network.

Fixya or post back

Printing with 190gsm paper

Max paper weight is 203gsm so you are near the upper end of specs, you must feed via manual pass and exit from face up tray (out of rear), paper type(heavy/card stock) must be set on print driver. User guide can more than likely be found www.oki.com.

My informed guess without seeing print sample is that your oki needs fuser unit replaced. Look at orange rollers should br smooth no wrinkles.

OKI 5600 - Can you do a 'clean'?

Here's the 'secret' sevice manual: http://www.feedroller.com/Store/Service%20Manual/50_53_5600.PDF
I would also (very carefully) check for torn paper around the rollers of the imaging drum that might be rubbing the area.
