SOURCE: blower motor resistor

The blower motor resistor is located near the blower motor. It is held in place by 2 screws, and has a wire clip connected to it. Very simple fix.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

Blower motor runs all time

Either the blower motor relay is stuck closed and running all the time.Relay should be under the hood. Look in the owners manual for the location. Also does it shut off with key or continue to run, Most likely a stuck blower motor relay.

this sounds like a crank position sensor issue, however check the condition of the battery and for tight battery connections first. The blower motor may be another issue, blower motor relay or a loose or burnt connection at the blower motor or the blower motor resistor and lastly a bad blower motor.

If your check engine light is on have the codes read. This may help you in finding the problem.

If you haven't fixed this yet, your Blower motor resister module is bad. It is located to the left of the blower motor and mounted in the A/C air box. Just pull the right kick panel down and you will see it.

Key out of the car the blower motor was on

There is a fan that comes on when the coolant is hot in the engine. When the engine is shut off the water pump shuts off as well. The ambiant temperature of the engine tells the fan to come on to cool the engine down. It will usually come on a minute or two after you shut off the engine, and then continue to run for two to six minutes-ish, and then shut back off. It isn't enough run time to deplete the batery much, and you should have no problems with it. It is just a normal part of the efficient cars that are made these days.
Most cars and trucks have two fan motors to regulate the temperature of the coolant. One is usually driven by the engines power and the other is electric.

Blower motor runs somethimes

Could be a faulty switch, or wire connector problem, and not necessarily the blower motor. You could save yourself $600 by doing a little troubleshooting to find the problem.

Try wiggling the wire connector at the blower and the switch. If it is the blower motor, spend a few dollars for a chilton's manual or haynes, and do it yourself.
