Well, to start off. my itouch 16gb has done this two times already. the first time, was playing a game when it shut off and wouldnt play my apps or my oldest songs. it also did the white screen of death....

Here is what I would do before you do anything to your ipod. Call your local Apple Store and make an appointment for the genius bar, when you go have your receipt for the ipod with you and they will probably replace the ipod with a refurbished one free of charge.
The WSOD is a problem that is well know and documented. Apple has extended the warranty for this problem. So you have a really good chance of getting a new ipod or a free repair.

Sounds dont play

Okay well sometimes the file looks like an mpeg3 layer. But in reality, it isnt. The file is corrupted, and you will have to reload or re find it. Sorry. Don't know if that helps.

Cant play songs off my playlist

You can thank Microsoft for creating Digital Rights Management.

Okay...I'm assuming this is an MP3 that you loaded using the Rhapsody-to-go or other music service that allows for subscription music.

What the MP3 player is telling you is that because you have subscription music and not purchased music, the DRM allows you to only play the song or songs 30-90 days after download. To continue to listen to the songs, you will need to open your Media Manager software (Best Buy Digital Music Service, Rhapsody, WMP11, Media Monkey, etc) connect your MP3 player to the PC, identify the MP3 player through the media manager and tell it to re-authorize your tracks. Once its finished you'll be able to play your songs for another 30-90 days. You will need to repeat this re-authorizing to continue to play the tracks.

My Sansa e250R, 2 gigs, froze. Help!

It seems like your E250R is experiencing a temporary system error due to a corrupted song, and needs to be reset. Try to "Soft Reset" your player, press and hold the "Menu" button until the LCD light and scroll wheel light turn off. Since the player was probably left on for more than 7 hours (as you indicated), you would need to re-charge the player before proceeding further. Charge it for at least 2-3 hours. Next, try to format the player to rid of any corruption then re-transfer the songs. If you have subscription songs, then I would suggest to delete the song you last played which caused the error. I hope this helps. There is another solution for the player, but for now this might actually resolve the issue. Let me know the results. :)
