I have an iPod Nanno and a Yahama HTR-5540 receiver. I bought a Monster iCable at the Apple store today and was told that it would help me run music through my stereo speakers.  I tried all the possible outlets in the receiver and didn't get anything.  Is there a trick?  Or should I just take the cable back??

I purchased the demo model at the store and downloaded the manual. I plug the ipod shuffel into the slot in front where it fits. The picture in the manual shows a cord that comes from the shuffel and goes into the player. I don't have this cord and wonder if it came with the player. It seems like there is a place to plug the shuffle directly into the player. I follow the directions but it won't play? What am I doing wrong.

I have the same problem, and my iPod later became frozen, but I resolved that problem. My ipod works fine now, but it still wont play on the iLive. As FirePod said, everything on it works, but I try to push the iPod button to play the iPod, but nothing happens. It doesn't even charge my iPod. Please help!

When I first Put in my video I had the same problem. But later that day my cousin pointed out to me that my ipod wasnt actaully plugged in.it was just between the inlet and the wall. This fooled me since it was such a tight fit.I fonno if you guess had the same problem or what But thats how I fixed it.
