Re: no picture

I have the same problem with the same exact model. I don't know what is wrong specifically. Have you fixed this problem or had somebody fix it? If so, what did you replace/have replaced? Thanks!

LT-46151 mitsubishi tv, Green light flashes, no picture, back light is on, screen is blue.

If you have any later digital camera or phone with a compatible connector and cable, try connecting this first.

The set may be looking at the wrong input for signal.

Using your remote, check the setup menu to ensure that your source (cable, receiver, etc.) hasn't been accidentally changed.
Often, a blue screen means 'no signal.'

I have a 1999 model...when you turn it on the screen is a black square all but like a picture frame on the outer edge...when i hit the volume the screen comes back for a few seconds and then goes black....

Goe to the setup menu and turn off closed caption.Does it do this on all inputs. Closed caption is only on rf input as far as the tv is concered. If this is happening on input which is connected to cable box or sat reciever call your serv provider.

Alghin red green abd blur colors

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai2_bing.gif,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

My set has a RED background on all Inputs--DVD,Sat, Recorded DVR.....when playing a DVD a Bright Blue FBI screen is normal and the Bright Green Movie Rating Screen is Normal but the picture is RED....

I found a way to get into the service Display, 5 ,volume + and numbers come up---could figure out how to go to a Menu-----but somehow the picture is now perfect !

Anybody know why this fixed I said the RED background was on all input screens....the screen with no signal was a solid red instead of Black......

Picture format

The HD reciever shouldn't be the problem.

If you recieve an image with a 4:3 aspect ratio, the image will be displayed at that ratio on your HDTV unless you specify otherwise. To do so go to your TV's Setup screen

Choose picture formats
select smooth wide as your default

***Some digital (ATSC format) stations may transmit 4:3 images in a way that will not allow expansion. You will be unable to adjust the picture format.

Hope this helps!!!

Green Picture

It a picture tube issue or a crt driver issue. Not something a layman can repair unless they have the training as well as the equipment to repair solid state TV sets.
