My comp wont recognize the mic

When
I first brought the mic I had no problems. Fast forward 2 months and now it says USB device not recognized. Every now and then it works but most of the time it is not recognized. I'm using xp if this helps.

Have you tried another USB cable? Failing that, can you try the mic on another computer, take it round to your friends house or something?
If it still misbehaves, it's obviously gone faulty and needs fixing. Get in touch with the retailer or Samson support.
