Re: Inputs

If this is just remote problems then check batteries first and if batteries are good then maybe the Sensor in set. X480310

We just return home from a vacation, I turn the power back on ton our hitachi plasma tv 42" and it trip the bottom power switch, It still keep tripping. It's about 5years old. Thanks

Your tv problem is the main power supply. First unplug the tv, then remove the back cover of your tv then try to observe your main power supply if there is as bulged top in the capacitor or not perfectly flat on the top of the capacitor try to compare the other capacitor or if you see a leaky capacitor the one that has a wet mark at the bottom of the capacitor try to replace it but observe the polarity before replacing the capacitor.

I have bought a HDMI cable and I cant seem to get my Prosonic to work with my pc. It works on other TV's The cable works fine with dvd player. Is there somewhere on the TV I shall activate first? I...

How many HDMI Inputs are available on the TV? Also, are you trying to project your computer to the TV or get TV on your PC?
I will assume the first scenario. The only thing I can suggest is that if there are multiple HDMI inputs then you will need to choose the correct one to change it to. If it does not give you that option on the TV input switcher menu then you can try to plug and unplug (while everything is on and attempting to project) the HDMI cable into different inputs on the TV until you find the right one.
Alternatively you can use a VGA/DVI cable depending what is on the back of the TV and that will definately work, but won't be HD.
Hope this helps.

Hi LG help guy, I have an LG plasma TV 50PG25, same as the 50PG20 by the look of it. Recently my wife and I went on vacation and as we usually do, unplug major electronics (PC, TV, etc.). When we...

No LED light at the front means bad power supply most of the time (not always though; rarely it may also mean bad main board or at least the portion of it responsible for the standby operations).

This is easy to happen as a result of a power surge, for example.

You can try searching here:

Or you can go to and search there as well.

Hope this helps!

Surge protectors aren't perfect... If the surge was big enough and long enough then it can cause problems. Most manufacturers have on-board protection as well. That's not perfect either. Often the surge does nothing more than confuse the microprocessor (computer) that controls all aspects of your television. The fact that the red light is blinking means that your set is trying to protect itself. This can happen for one of two reasons. Something in the set has failed. Usually the power supply inside the set possibly also a trouble in the scan section of your set. These are normally a shop repair. The other thing is when the microprocessor is confused it will do nothing further until it's reset. To reset the processor simply unplug the set from the wall and wait 10 minutes. Plug it back in and if it works then happy viewing. If it doesn't then you will need a repair.

If is a failure caused by a failure in the grid that delivers power to your set then you are usually able to file a claim for the repairs. Contact your local power company. explain what happened. If it's their fault then usually they will pay for a repair. I know the PG&E does.

First, HDMI is not a perfect hook-up solution. Cable box connections via HDMI are notorious for being problematic. The best thing you can do is contact Samsung and get the latest firmware for your TV.
Samsung Customer Care: 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864). If this does not resolve the issue, connect the cable box using Component cables instead of the HDMI. Component cables are HD also. I hope this was of some assistance.

Generally, problems like this require repairs to resolve. You may carry the TV in to the place of purchase to pursue service options.

Lg 42'' plasma 720p no picture

This is not good. Was your tv unplugged or just power button off when you left for vacation. PlasmaTvs are highly susceptible to damage from power surges caused by lighting. Leave unplugged for at least five minutes then plug back in and see if this helps.
