Question about GE WJSR2070B Top Load Washer
The cap came off of the shipping rod that is inserted in the lower right side of the washer and is about 2 inches inside. The rod is about two feet long. I can reach it with long nose pliers but it doesn't pull out. Any suggestions on how to remove it?
It doesn't look like a motor problem !!! It seems like an unbalanced tub issue. The machin has suspension dampers and suspension rods, and it's look like one of them was damaged or "run away" from its location during machin's movement. Goog luck !!

SOURCE: Kenmore Washer, Loose Timer Knob
There should be a spring clip that holds the timer knob on. It or the timer knob may need replaced. Here is a picture of the timer knob and the spring clip. Sure hope this helps and best wishes.

Probably $900 at the shop. Price it out at a few shops. The entire engine gets torn down. Be sure to install new crankshaft end bearings and seals as well as shift shaft seal and sprocket outer bearing and seal. A flywheel puller, impact driver, case splitter and torque wrench will be needed. Sorry for the pain.
Could you take a moment and rate my answer? Thanks!
