I wanna change my gigabyte onboard 8vm533m-rz vga with new AGP vga ,,, and I dont know how ...please help me ,,,
Thats easy when your looking at the front of the case unscrew the left hand panel.(2 screws on the back) Now look at the agp slot its the one closest to the power supply. Punch out or unscrew back back blocking plate where the card pokes out. (Great cut warning on that if its the punchout type never use your hands! Always use a tool! They cut real bad!)
Now earth youself on the case by touching it before touching the card. Slip the card into the slot and screw it into the back plane on the top. Once the card is installed fit the side cover back on. Now plug the VGA D shaped connector (15 pin) into the back of the new video card. Now your ready to start up the machine. While the computer is booting with the new card insert the driver cd that has come with the card. When windows boots just follow the prompts and it will install the drivers. Its as simple as that. When you install a new card you don't need to remove the old one because its a part of the motherboard. The motherboard realises that you have a new card in and it uses that instead.
Don't forget to rate me!
Cheers
