Re: printer problem

Did the paper jam clear completely? Look for a small piece of paper stuck somewher inside the paperfeed track that's setting off the sensor. Clear that and you should be fine

I have an epson printer and when I hit print, the paper slides right thru & says paper jam

  • Carefully remove the jammed photo paper. Gently pull the paper up and out of the paper feeder tray.

  • 2

Reload the paper into the tray. Stack the paper on a flat surface and then carefully slide the paper stack straight into the paper feeder tray---along and aligned with the right side of the tray. Secure the stack in place by sliding the left "edge guide" against the paper stack.

Press the "OK" button to resume printing. If you had a "Paper is jammed in the printer..." error message displayed on the control panel LCD, pressing "OK" should also clear the message.

  • 4

Pull the paper from the printer, if the status message reappears and/or the printer doesn't print, and check the paper for folds, buckling and curled edges or corners. Also check the sheets for sticking. If any of your sheets stick or have damage, remove them from your photo paper stack and replace with new sheets. Reload the paper and press "OK" to try again.

    2575 paper jam

You could try gently shaking it and see if anything falls out.

You should also try cleaning it, first maybe with some compressed air, you may have a dirty sensor or something

Another thing you should try is unplugging it and allowing it to reset.

Please let me know how the above work out and I can give you further options to try if none of them work.

Thank you for using Fixya and Have a Great Day!

Paper jam cleared no tears message still appearing clear paper jam than pressk OK have open the printer checked thoroughly turned off 8 times and on again. No paper jams all cleared.

When you turn off the printer unplug it from power and the computer for a few minutes. Plug only the power back in and turn it on. Also consult the manual to find out how to "reset" your printer.

    Hope this helps

States paper jam when I go click to print?

That's happened to me before on my HP printer. Try opening the printer and checking for any paper that might be jammed. Look very carefully, if you find paper that's jammed, carefully remove it. Close the printer. If you have the option to hit OK to clear the jam on the printer, do so, and then try re-printing.

    Paper jam won't clear

Check the far left side under the cover..Typically they have a photo sensor for cartridge positioning and if any pape gets jammed on the left side t will behave irratically.

    Jamming problem

    try this
    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
    3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
    4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
    5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
    6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
    7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
    8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
    9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
    10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

    alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.
