Do a soft reset on the phone by removing the battery. I know it sounds dumb but in many cases it works.

you have the problem in the heater section of your crt there is an open resistor.

Try resoldering the vertical output IC this is acommon problem with this model

humm from the sound of a loud pop that would tell me you have a high voltatge problem. at the shop i have seen when i replaced tubes in this set that when the tubes are unbalenced (screen voltages) then sound will come up with no picture. then the tubes warm up and the picture comes up. this is an idication that one of the tubes have gone bad. and now that it has completly failed i suspect it has taken the horizontal ouput transistor and possilby flyback tranforner, NOW what all that tech talk means? not good im sorry. but in my opion this set is not good. these set cost about 800 new at your local walmart. We charge at my shop bout 600 to 700 for such a repair..of course u may get a tech to look at it and find something simple. but i feel this is the case if you have any more qestion feel free to email me or ask again here [email protected]
