Cant get my 1610v to scan. Can't find the
turn on/off, unplug, wait a minute, plug back in, should reset.
go to application folder for your computer, dbl click icon for make of printer, for settings, check to ensure everything is order. go to the scanner settings.
lastly, check make of printer trouble shooting web site for more information. hp has an awesome site for trouble shooting

When i start my printer it has an error sign
I think this is a paper size error code. Im not sure how to overcome it. Try reinstalling the driver and/or see if HP has a updated driver for your 1610v

START - CONTROL PANEL - PRINTERS AND FAXS - ADD A PRINTER. Follow promps . When ask if you have the install CD say  no. Tell it where the driver is located.
