Question about Sony Grand WEGA KDF-60XS955 60" Rear Projection HDTV

Loss of 2 video signals at same time

I have a problem where I have a live cam on Vid 4 and Directv on Vid 7 at the same time. After 1-2 hrs of running, it will loose both vids for 2-3secs at a rate of 1-4 times randon behind each other. this might occur once per hour or up to 5 times per hour. The events are short but driving me nuts. I still have the Video 7 and Video 4 menus displayed on the screen when I loose the vid pictures, so I don't think its the lamp. Have you seen this problem. My 4 year extended warr is coming near end of life, like the TV.

Hitachi ultravision 50v500

there should be 3 sets of video rca jacks on tv or receiver they might have put them on the wrong rca jack in which they just need to be moved over
usually the 3rd set of rca jacks are component jacks not for tv or video but for low output signals say like cameras and only one set of rca's can be used at a time svg on one of them rca's will over power the vid's. so have no picture

I have the same set, SD satellite going into S-Video. Some channels on S-Video, as well as digital broadcast over the air, have noise at the top, in my case it looks like 'dancing' white line(s) With 'just scan' it is visible but if I do "4:3" or whatever the native aspect ratio is with the "p.size" button on the remote it goes away. Hope this helps. You might skipping the HK and go right into the S-video as an experiment. I have been reading that this set sometimes does not size properly with certain brands/types of equipment.

Red light on front blinks 4 times

A four blink code indicate loss of the vertical deflection pulse. In layman's terms the vertical Ic or something like a cap or diode in that circuit have failed or is failing causing a loss of the pulse signal and the shutdown circuit is keeping the set from causing any severe damage... The self diagnostic is a great tool for these minor problem and saves the customer hundreds from overdriving the problem and making it worse.
The set needs to be taken to a reputable shop and repaired. Not something you can just do yourself short of having a scope and knowing hwat to do with it, the vertical circuit will have to be trace and signal tested to isolate the exact failure.

Mitsubishi Big Screen, 3 years old

Check this first:1. White raster with no signal, washed out looking video with signal. Access the service menu, "menu 0357" use the audio button to select "video chroma" adjustments, use the video button to select item "40 - AGIW", use the adjust button to change the setting to 0, then press the enter button to store the change/////This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-1. At power on check for 12-volts DC at connector KH pin 8, if missing check IC9C51 part # 270P990010 and L9C52 part # 441D009020 on the Signal PCB
