Question about OKI C9500dxn Led Printer

Oki C9500 makes VERY LOUD clunking noises but prints fine...

My oki c9500 printer makes some very loud disturbing noises when printing. The prints are fine, but it is too loud to use and I fear damaging the printer by continuing to use it when it is making this noise. I have searched online for info to see if anyone else has had a similar problem, but nothing. I think it is the transfer belt, but I can't be sure. Can you help?

The sound is most probably from one (or more) of the drum units. You can check by taking them out and trying to run the visible gears by hand. If you have spare drums, change them one at a time until you find the defective one.

My oki c3400 printer makes a really loud clicking noise when you first turn printer on and it cycles through, and it also does it when it cycles through printing. Any ideas what the problem could be?

My OKI C3300 was the same and an engineer found the Cyan drum was bouncing on its gears being very stiff to turn. We changed the drum but it was still the same. Changing the cartridge cured the problem, that was jamming the drum.

Strange loud noise coming out of my OKI C7400

If it is a dry barring in the fan you should have it fixed because it will stop someday and you will need a new printer. Well that is just a way to justify an upgrade.

OKI C9500

We had this issue and removing the optional hard disk fixed it for us, I'm guessing it was on the way out and wasn't really being used so it will not be missed.

One of the drum cartridges is stuck. Test by removing them one at a time with the printer off, then turning on.
