Disk fell behind tray

This happens if the disc had jumped out with a high spinning. So you need to remove the top panel and use forceps to lift up the disc. I dont think it will be difficult if you are able to open the top panels. remove power and take care not to tamper with any connecting cord or jumpers.

The top bar on the inside that holds the racks has stopped spinning during bake.

The top bar, referred to as the "carrier" will only rotate when you start your bake cycle. If there is an issue with the rotation you should hear a steady buzzer about once every second. If you are hearing the buzzer that means the rack alignment switch isn't closing momentarily during rotation like it should be. This could be a result of a number of things, such as a bad rack switch, mis-adjusted rack switch, burned or broken wire on rack switch, bad rotation motor, rotation motor chain or sprockets fell off or are loose, or the shaft switch bar is loose (unlikely).
If you are NOT hearing the beeping then the carrier inside the oven itself could have some loose set screws and the shaft could be spinning freely inside the carrier.
Look on top of the oven and you will see a rectangular shield covering the lift and rotation assembly, remove these covers and verify if the shaft is spinning and hitting the little switch mounted near the top of the shaft.

Washer does not spin but makes loud clicking noise?

sounds like you could have a problem with your basket drive tube, around the clutch brake area! my machine would not spin and i found out the bottom of the basket drive tube had been ground off by the thrust washer which resulted in the clip that holds the brake release arm fell off and broke the 2 little pins on the brake release arm and it would not disengage the brake to allow the basket to spin, i bought a used basket drive tube and a new clutch ,installed and unit works fine now,,,so take a look also check your motor coupling see if it is broken ,,, and 1 more thing ,up under your agitator is the basket drive block sometimes it shears off the notches on the top of your drive tube!

When the machine goes into spin mode it makes a loud screeching sound

could be your clutch or brake assy , mine was doing that and it turned out to be the clip on the basket tube was grinding off the bottom of the tube and the clip fell off ,clutch fell down thus no spinning cause it wasn't releasing the brake!

I have a 500GB external SimpleTech HD. Tonight it

If it was running at the time it fell, the heads crashed into the platters, and the buzzing you're hearing is the dents left in the platters spinning by 7200 times a second.
Not good. Likely will need a professional service to recover the data.

LOUD RATTLING NOISES ON SPIN CYCLE (SOUNDS LIKE MONEY OR MARBLES IN MACHINE)

you'll need to investigate further. It may even mean bringing in a professional to be sure the vibration damper rods are ok - to prevent future and costlier problems.

GE WBB2090 Not spinning but working otherwise

By "cycle switch" I assume you mean the timer. That part is not normally serviced, but replaced as an assembly. See if it spins after you replace it. If not, check the lid switch, motor switch, wiring, connections and start capacitor.

Whirlpool LSB6300PW2 Won't Agitate or Spin

if you lift andclose the lid do you hear "clicking" noise??? i bet not. simple repair, lift the lid and with a hollow shafted screwdriver(1/4in nutdriver or similliar hollow shaft implement)you fell with your hand the bottom half of the left side lid hinge. as you open and close the lid you can fell the opposing end of hinge under the top no need to dissasemble you can fell it right there. when you find it simply slip the hollow ended shaft over the hinge and apply pressure towardds the rear of unit. While doing this the top will want to close( your pushing against the hinge).. after appling slight pressure youll bend it slightly, enough to activet the lid switch mounted to the rear of the main lid assy.

Loud noise

similar thing happened to me. Check to see if a screw (in my case) or other item fell through one of the holes in the bottom of the basket. Feel really well because in my case it was hard to tell there was anything in there.
