Most likely yes. Get a good adhesive for it though and make sure it is dry before you close the door and before you use it.

SOURCE: Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer

I had the same trouble after moving to a new house, I first thought I had a voltage problem. It turns out that the heating coil has a high temp re-setable switch in side the back - lower right side. the sencor has 2 screws, I took it out and cleaned off the lint and now have dryed 5 loads with 0 issues. looks like a flaw in design that would allow lint to get in the heating coils!!!!! I think I'm going to look for a new dryer before I burn down the house!!

SOURCE: Bosch Nexxt 500 series dryer, E:01 and lint light

Hi,
This indicates the sensor near the lint filter gets too hot. This is usually caused by bad air flow.
Try running the unit without the vent hose attached. If the problem goes away the problem is in the ducting.
You may need to have it cleaned out. May be lint filter is clogged due to the use of dryer sheets or fabric softener. You can try to clean the filter with Windex.
If neither one of this suggestions resolves the issue there may be a problem with the sensor, there may be heat escaping somewhere within the dryer. This is only resolved by technician.

Good Luck and have a nice day.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

SOURCE: Bosch Nexxt 800 series dryer E01 error

My wife has a Bosch Premium dryer that had drying problems. The lint filter would get cleaned but the machine still did not operate correctly, as you explained above. Her machine was made in 2005 and the lint screen, the plastic slotted unit in front of the lint filter was the problem. It gets clogged up with hair/lint that never makes it to the filter. I tried a shop vac to vacuum it but the problem was still there. Get a pistol cleaning kit for a 22 cal gun. Pull the lint filter out & then take the pistol rod and insert it from the drum side into each slot and pull out the tons of lint. Pull the lint off the rod when done and take a flame to burn the rest off as the rod is a brass brush with small wires on it.

On my Bosch Nexxt 500 Series Electric Dryer keeps shutting off and gives the E-01 error we have check the exhaust air duct on back of the dryer and we have vacuumed the inside bearing shield what else...

Motor won't work
Lint screen hi-limit (thermal cutout) tripped.
Clean lint screen and clean lint and other debris from front shield, then replace hi-limit. Also check exhaust duct length & # of elbows.
Wire harness failed.
Run resistance or continuity checks to track down broken wire or connector. Replace failed wire harness.
Display shows "E:01" during drying.
Lint filter, air duct or air damper is blocked.
Air leaking past felt drum seal.
Air duct is too long, too small or has too many bends. Inadequate ventilation around dryer (i.e. in a closet).
Clean out filter, air duct and air damper.
Replace felt drum seal. If seal doesn't fit snugly onto drum, wet felt and dry it by running a timed dry cycle for 20 minutes (felt will shrink and fit drum snugly).
Shorten, enlarge, reroute and reduce # of bends in air duct. Move dryer to an area

The door seal

All front load washers have the same problem. After washing, prop the door open for a couple hours to dry out the inside.

Replace door gasket

It sounds like you have left the spring on the inside lip of the door opening when you removed the old seal,
You will have to take the seal off again and feel for the spring on the lip of the front of the drum, you will find it easier if you have something to hook it out with,it is fiddley, but you must get the spring out, or the seal will not stay on
Refit seal as before, and double it back inside the drum, then fit the spring in the groove that you can feel on the lip of the door seal. Work the spring all the way rond feeding it into the groove as you go round, you will find it a lot easier if you have someone there to hold the spring as you are are fittingit, it is very fiddley, stick with it!!!.
Plz rate this solution .
Thanks.
