Fix memory error message on camera

Hi there! Make sure the SD card is not locked. There is a tiny slider on the side. If is in the "down" position, the card cannot have new files saved to it. Move the slide to the "up" position, then reinsert the card.

If the slider is very loose, it's possible that inserting it into the camera slides it down, essentially making it useless. I have one like that. You could try a touch of superglue to make the slider harder to move, but I have never tried this and you would need to be very careful not to use too much, and to make sure it's entirely dry before putting it in your camera. Perhaps try a different memory card?

Hi. I don't know this camera but if it uses a memory card it could just be that the card is 'locked'. Have a look at the card and move the little slider to unlock it.

Card locked can't take a photo

This is usually caused by the SD card, and is rarely to do with the camera. On the SD card there is a small slider - which allows you to lock the card (to prevent accidental erasure).

If you put in on the table with contacts upwards, corner cut top left, then the slider is on the right hand edge, about 1/3 the way down. If it is slid to the top position (nearest the contacts) the card is unlocked. If it is slid down (away from the contacts) the card is locked.

If it is a damaged / "cheap" card, sometimes the slider falls out, in which case the card is locked. You can still read from it, but not write to it until fixed or replaced.

First check is to turn the camera off, remove the card, move the slider to locked, then back to unlocked. Replace in the camera and turn on.

Have you tried the camera with another SD card, to see if the problem persists? (A reputable photo store will often lend you a card for the 20 seconds it takes to do this test)

Camera is locked

On the side of the card is a small yellow or white slider switch, move it back to the other position then try the card again.

Card is locked and will not allow me to take photos, can view the photos already on the card on the camera only, not on computer, ect.

Most SD cards have a switch on the edge of one side of the card.Sliding it up or down will unlock or lock the card. When the card islocked, you will not be able to transfer any audio tracks. Nor will yoube able to play any copy protected files. We recommend you always keepthe card unlocked.
sd%20card%20lock%20slider.jpgNOTE:We have found that on some cards, if the slider is even halfway towardsthe lock position, the card will be locked. Make sure that the slideris all the way to the UN-locked position.

hope this helps. if not please let me know.
