Installing my printer to my new laptop

if its a new laptop is it vista?, if so are you trying to install the printer using the cd you got with it which probably has an xp driver on it? if so it wont install.

If you do need the vista driver you will need to visit the manufacturers web site and download and install the driver.

If its a new printer also there should be no problem, try in a different usb port and make sure that the driver is installed before you connect the printer
