It will display a list of files that are queued on that printer to be printed, then right click on the print file you want to delete and then click cancel.

SOURCE: i went to the printers and faxes menu. i clicked

Next Time remove the Printer power cable, then unplug it from your PC, restart the printer. then Check all the process again try printing a page then on the bottom right of your task bar (start up) you will see a printer icon, double click to open and then delete the printing
NOTE: it is better to cancel printing from the Printer itself and Delete printing from the PC, because before the PC sends a cancel command to the Printer the document would have finished Spooling at this point the printer does not need the PC to print

SOURCE: Trying to cancel a print

Sometimes this is a right royal pain int he **** to actually do. You need to cancel from the pc that send the print job, then you might have to turn the printer off and restart it a few times. Usually just once if you leave it off for a half minute does the trick. The idea is to clear the memory or buffer.

If it will not clear on the pc then it gets annoying as you won't be able to print until it is out of the way. Cancle the job then delete it from the cue. Then try a reboot or two. If nothing else you can remove the printer from the printer menu, then reboot and add it back in. That force the OS to clear out the spooler and so on. You used to have to hunt down the print job file and manually delete it.

SOURCE: Just put all new image drums and toner in my Okidata C5300n, checked the IP address, the computer sees it and shows the pending print job, but the printer in not receiving the print job.

In most laser printers, when you replace the drum, you need to reset your drum in your printer's menu options. This is to reset the page count for your printer to tell you when it will need to be replace again.

How to i clear the queue with jobs waiting to print when the printer says printing but is not printing

Try pressing cancel on the printer first. Then, open the print queue by opening the printers folder, and double-clicking the printer icon for your printer. Try to select the jobs there and cancel them. If that doesn't work, turn off the printer, and wait for the title bar of the print queue to say "use printer offline". If it doesn't change on the title bar of the queue, then select "use printer offline" from the file menu of the print queue. Then try to delete the print job. If this still doesn't work, leave the printer off and reboot the computer, then try to delete the print job again if it is still in the queue. If none of these work, remove and then reinstall the printer as a last resort.

Cancelled a job and it stays in queue

Cancel all the documents in the print queue, (just do it whether they are actually deleted or not), press "cancel" on button the printer and restart your system and also the printer. If possible, please leave the printer switched off for few minutes and don't forget to use the "Power" button to turn if off or on. This will help your printer to restart new print job, all the jobs on the print queue will be deleted/cleared. Good luck, Thanks for using FixYa.

The printer turns itself on autamaticcally and wont stop printing

You need to cancel all pending print jobs on the queue. If you see the printer's icon on your System Tray, lower right corner of your computer, right click it and choose Cancel Print Jobs. Or you can double click it so that it will show you the current printing job or those in queue. Select and delete them. If this does not cancel the pending print jobs, disconnect your printers power cord and shutdown the computer. After like 10 minutes, turn the printer and computer back again.

Can't get printer to cancel print

If this is a Windows pc - turn off the printer, right click the printer icon in the lower right taskbar, choose the option to show your printer queue, right click the print job and choose cancel or delete. After the job is removed from the queue you may restart the printer.

Note: you can access the print queue from the printers folder also by simply opening the printer which you wish to control...

Print Queue is stuck on

This is old, but I will post my solution for anyone else who might be having this problem.
In Mac OS 10.5: Go to System Preferences under the "apple logo" menu. Then select the "Print & Fax" module. Select your printer from the list on the left, and then click the "Open Print Queue…" button. Select the job(s) you want to cancel, and click the Delete button.
In older Mac OS 10: Go to the Utilities folder in your Applications folder, and open the "Printer Setup Utility". Double click your printer in the list. Then it is the same as above: select the job(s) you want to cancel, and click the Delete button.
