Refrigerator/freezer has stopped cooling

Kenmore 106.53082300 - About 4 weeks ago icemaker stopped working, except intermittently. Inlet tube not froze up nor is tray.

Probably unrelated.....

Now refrig and freezer have stopped cooling and there is a ''pop'' or ''click'' about every 5 minutes. Sounds like a switch may be trying to turn something on. Airways between the compartments seem to be set correctly and open. There's no frozen up condition at the back of the freezer.
