Unlock Region Code/Instructions - Request

Just spoke with Soniq's help line in Australia. They gave me the instructions below. I have not tried them yet as I have boxed up the TV already and I am moving out of the region. Good Luck.

Unlock instructions for Soniq L37V11B
  1. Turn on TV
  2. Set to DVD Mode
  3. Press Open/Eject
  4. Leave DVD door open

My daughter put the blue ray DVD into the Toshiba 14DLV75 instead of the regular DVD and now it won't eject it. It just keeps spinning like it wants to eject, but won't. How can I get it out?

Just switch OFF the set by its front panel power control switch, and then switch it On and press the eject button without any delay. Sometimes the tray will eject, and try to close. If so switch OFF the front panel power switch, while it is out, and take away the blu-ray disc. the switch it On. All will be ok then.

The dvd player says "incorrect

The DVD player is region locked and will only play DVDs from a particular region. The cheap DVDs are probably region 0 and so will work on any DVD player. You can scour the internet for a code hack to change the region (I've had a quick look and not found anything).

Region Error

See page 36 of your user manual: <>
It says:  "The following disc cannot be played back on this TV/DVD/VCR. • DVD with region codes other than 1 or ALL."
This means you have a disc that is for another region or was not encoded as ALL regions.

DVD player problem

You may have had a brief power outage you did not know about. Then the DVD player needs to be unplugged from the wall and started up again or your lens may need to be cleaned Because your dvd player is only made to play region 1 discs and vcd's are region 2. You need to buy a dvd player which will play all region discs or is rated region 0 which is the same.
