Can't get full screen picture, just PIP in corner. Lots of little red squares with R in boxes across the bottom of the screen. How do you get rid of PIP?

Look in the set menu under closed captions, there will likely be a setting there for "TEXT" IF FOUND SWITCH IT TO OFF.

This is a feature a lot of sets had for books etc viewed but was never really used---the result a black box on the screen.

You may have PIP or picture in picture turned on and set to a input that has nothing connected to it. That's why the box is black. There should be a button on the remote for PIP. Try to turn it off. Or turnit off in the menu.

check and see if your tv has PIP (picture in Picture) which you turn on and off with the remote. If you do you have PIP turned on, but not set to any station.

This TV dose have PIP (Picture in Picture), Press the PIP button on the remote and see what happens. If fail then I would recommend to call Viewsonic.

The blue box is the Picture in Picture function. Press the PIP button on remote till gone.
The No Entry Sign on the inputs is because nothing is connected to these inputs.
Unless  I an mistaken you have only a HDMI cable connected.

PIP DISPLAYED IN ALL FOUR CORNERS OF PIX. UNPLUG UNIT MOMENTARILY TO RESET. or the pip modual has failed.

Go to menu and Reset all Settings
