WILL NOT TURN ON

Please help!! We have a Vizio v6 and last evening I turned it off using the buttons on top of the monitor. I now cannot turn it back on with the top buttons or the remote. There are no indicator lights at all. We checked the power supply and the connections and all are good. Is there a fuse or something I may have blown?? SERIAL # DTLAASAD411438

Likely a bad power supply. If it uses the same PS as the L6 it's part # is adp-60cf. The PS is used in numerous vizio models including the p42. Check the output plug on the PS, pins 1 & 2 should be 16V, and 3 & 4 are ground. There is also a slo-blow fuse soldered onto the board very close to the AC in plug.

I have a Vizio e260mv, using it as a computer monitor. i came into work today and turned it on and all i get is the Vizio logo. it will not go to a monitor status or even a blue screen as when there are...

1. Make sure that the cable in tight. 2. Make sure that the TV is using the correct input, I'll assume it's on VGA input. Some Vizio TVs call the VGA input RGB. 3. Turn the computer on and see if the post shows up. 4. If it doesn't, you'll have to use some other equip to test if it's the TV or the PC. Good luck.

My Vizio will not turn off unless you unplug it. It seems to be backlit but isn't registering any sort of picture or menus???? Help

I'm having this same problem. I'll hold the power button and I get the countdown saying the power is about to turn off and the Vizio light goes out, but the screen appears to keep the backlights on like it's in some advanced standby mode.

Anyone know how to completely turn off these monitors without unplugging them?

I have a Vizio GV47L LCD TV. I bought this about 3 years ago. The other day when it was on and working fine, I went in the other room for about 5 minutes and when I came back in it was making a fizzle...

ANy sign of DC filter caps with open top (may be that was the sound you hear was cap is blowing its tops). You need to do some voltage checking and some visual inspection.

You have to remove the heatsink to see the caps under it.
Post back what you see.

I need to manually program my universal vizio remote

Hi,

1. Manually turn on the VCR/DVD/Cable set top box.

2. Press the VCR/DVD/Cable set top box button on the remote control.

3. Press and hold the SETUP button until the LED LIGHT flashes twice.

4. Enter the codes using the Number Buttons. If the code is accepted, the LED flashes twice after the last digit is entered.

If the LED does not flash twice, repeat Steps 2 through 4 with the next code listed for the component and
manufacturer.

5. Point the remote control at the VCR and press the POWER button. The VCR/DVD/Cable set top box will turn off.
6.Your are done.

Thanx

My parent unit is not working. All it does is flash when it's supposed to show me the pendulum swinging, room temp etc. I have forgotten how to reset it. Help please

Manuals here: http://www.angelcare-monitor.com/Canada/en/help#tabs-2
Had same problem - here's what worked for AC401 (from manual):
CONNECTING THE PARENTS UNIT TO THE NURSERY UNIT: If you lose the connection between the 2 units, turn them both off. Turn ON the parents unit and press and hold the MENU button ,the "out of range"indicator will flash and you will hear a beep.Turn ON the nursery unit and press and hold the top button of the nursery unit to reconnect. The Tic light flashes. This normally happens within a few seconds and you will hear a bleep to confirm it. If successful, the parents unit display will first show the channel of transmission (C1 to C8), which will be replaced by the room temperature and icons for all activated functions.

OSD main menu pop-up will not go away

Please try to Turn the monitor off. Hold down the Menu button while the monitor is turned off, then press the Power button again to turn the monitor back on. This should unlock your OSD menu and remove that message from your screen. best regards

While trying to change channels, my t.v. displayed ''no signal'' and then shut itself off. Now, when I turn it on, it says no signal and turns itself off after a few seconds.

Turn the television on and as soon as the screen turns on repeatily press the input button or change the input to whatever input you are using from a source device. As long as you change it to anything other than RGB.

Your television is essentially a big computer monitor with multiple inputs and a tuner. When using your computer and shutting it down the monitor will go in a power save mode. You don't need to shut off your monitor due to this power saving mode. When you power up your computer your monitor automatically turn on.

With the VIZIO and the RGB (computer) input the television will act just like a computer monitor. When you have a computer connected it will power down automatically when you shut off your computer. When you turn your computer on the VIZIO will automatically come out of standby mode. This is through RGB only.

This is normal operation for the VIZIO but can see confusing when nothing is connected to the RGB input. If you change your television input to RGB it will sense no signal on the input and will go into standby mode after about 5 - 10 seconds. If you were to send a signal to the television through RGB it would automatically kick on.
