I have somehow deactivated my center button in order to scroll up and down..can anyone indicate how I can re-activate it.

Hi You should have Acer Erecovery Management software installed. Start, All Programs, Acer Empowering technology, Acer Erecovery Management, restore,bottom right, restore applications/drivers.
