My nokia c5-03 asking for invalid WPA pre-shared key for wlan.

1. Connect to your router Globe B315s-936/938 (via Wi-Fi using the default credentials printed at the back of modem or connect directly thru LAN cable).
2. Open your web browser, and enter 192.168.254.254 in the URL address bar to open the Globe Broadband web interface/dashboard.
3. Click Login on the upper right of website interface. Type the Globe default admin username and password. Username: user and Password: @l03e1t3
4. Open WiFi settings. For 938 modem, go to Wi-Fi Settings For 936 modem, go to Settings > WLAN > WLAN Basic Settings Set the settings to: SSID: Your Desired WiFi Name Security mode: WPA/WPA2-PSK WLAN Key/WPA Pre-shared key : "Your Desired WiFi Password" SSID broadcast: optional settings if you want to set your wifi as public or hidden.
5. Click Apply and you are done.

2. Navigate to the 'Settings' tab
3. Select the 'WLAN' section
4. Select 'WLAN Basic Settings'
   1. SSID: This is the name of the wireless network
   2. WPA pre-shared key: This is the 'password'/pre-shared key
5. Click Apply

1. Connect to the router with a network cable to one of the LAN ports
2. Open the admin menu at 192.168.1.1
3. Login with admin / 1234.
4. Click on GENERAL SETUP -> WIRELESS -> SECURITY SETTINGS
5. Set "Encryption" to WPA Pre-Shard key
6. Set the WPA UNICAST to WPA2 (AES) or WPA2 (Mixed)
7. Set the pre-shard key format to passphrase.
8. In the field Pre-Shared Key type in the password for the wireless network. It should be at least 8 characters in length. Write down this password. You will need to enter the password when you connect with your WLAN clients to the network.
9. Click APPLY and APPLY again to restart the router.
10. Wait for about two minutes, then re-scan your WLAN networks on your Windows 7 system and connect just like before. Now you need to type in the password you set up under step 8.

This is the same key that you use to connect your laptop to wlan.

if it is an office network, you will need to ask the network administrator or someone using the wlan for the key.

You have to take the key from WLAN provider.

To secure a network against unauthorized access you implement security measures. There are several ways to secure a network and one of them is with a preshared key.
If you are authorized to use the network, the network administrator gives you a string of characters (the key) that you are asked for on first access. If you supply the correct key you are allowed access, and your machine becomes known on the network.
Subsequent asking of the key may not be necessary except if the key has been changed.

A wpa pre-shared key is required when you try to connect to a secure wifi connection. You will need that key for using that connection. Otherwise just use another web profile from your service provider.

The Pre-shared key is used to setup encryption on wireless routers.
The latest strongest encryption methods used is Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA and WPA2).
The wireless router is configured with WAP or WAP2, and the computer's wireless card is configured with the router's WAP or WAP2 encryption. First, go to ur Router Configuration Page. There are 2 pg into related WireLess Configuration Settings. So u find ur problem into the WPA security configuration is under the wlan Security section, and then you select WPA PSK (Pre Shared Key) and TKIP encryption for Lan security. As well as changing the WPA Mode to enabled, u will need to enter a WPA Pre-Shared Key. So u found, which is a Network key and why to need.
