Question about Motorola Mobility MPx220 Pocket PC

1 Answer

Master reset Have just purchased two of these - me and my wife. My wife has had no problems and is enjoying her phone. My phone has no aerial and it has been suggested I do master reset. Have looked all through the manual but can't find what this means? I have taken out the sim card, battery and then put everything back in. Itake it that this is not a master reset as I still have the same problem. My wife has fantasic coverage but mine (when we are in the same place) is absolute rubbish. Anyone help me??? Appreciate it.

Re: Master reset

1. Press and hold the blue action key and switch on the phone. 2. If it asks you to format the device press yes. 3. Afterwards you have to power it off and on again. (note) It will take longer to boot the first time after a hard reset, about 5-10 minutes. Just let it sit while on that screen for a while, and see if it fully boots.

How to remove align screen

Problem can com from your touchscreen panel.
you need to replace it manually. only then this will be solved.

or you can try with soft reset or hard reset.
please find explanation at below :

Resetting Your Pocket PC Phone

Occasionally you may need to reset your Pocket PC Phone. A normal
(or soft) reset of your device clears all active program memory and
shuts down all active programs. This can be useful when the device is
running slower than normal, or a program is not performing properly.
A soft reset is also necessary after the installation of some programs.
If a soft reset is performed when programs are running, unsaved work
will be lost.

You can also perform a hard reset (also known as a full reset). A hard
reset should be performed only if a normal reset does not solve a
system problem. After a hard reset, the device is restored to its default
settings - the way it was when you first purchased it. Any programs
you installed, data you entered, and settings you customized on the
device will be lost. Only Windows Mobile software and other preinstalled
programs will remain.

To perform a soft reset

Remove the battery cover and using the stylus, press on the small
button to the left of the battery. Otherwise simply remove the battery,
wait a few seconds and then insert the battery again.
To perform a Hard Reset

Hard reset by pressing device buttons:

1. Turn off your device.
2. Hold down the Send button, End button and Camera button.
3. Do not release Send, End and Camera, press the Power button.
4. After on-screen indication, release all the buttons.

Dear Sir/Madam I have just purchased a LG viewty

hi julia, first of all, please dont post your personal details on any website as you might get alot of prank calls.

as with you mobile problem, firstly, you should check if your network provider can do delivery reports.

i think there could be a software glitch, so , back up all your content and data, and do a master reset on your phone, should be in your settings

good luck

My motoq 9h is not booting up and the phone is stuck on windows mobile screen

Take out the battery for 2 minutes, then put it back in.

You are going to need to do a Master Reset which resets the phone to factory settings. This will erase all data entered into the phone, your contacts, calendar, etc., but will leave the SD card intact.

Hold down the center button of the navigational pad, and power button at the same time which will trigger the master reset. Follow the directions on the screen.

Once you've performed the master reset, goto the Motorola site to do a full update to your phone. This, in my experience, will eliminate the freezing problems associated with the Motorola Q9M, Q9c, Q9h, etc.

Good Luck!

Phone hangs

First please make a backup of your phone's memory and contacts using the tools you can find on your official CDs provided with your phone. You will need to do a master reset of your phone. Go to control panel of your phone, select the tab "other" and then select master reset. This procedure may take a while and it will make your phone be exactly like you purchased it and IT WILL DELETE all programs, games etc you have installed. Also your contact numbers, sms etc will be deleted. If the problem is not fixed then I would suggest to update your phone's software from sonyericsson's website.
