Question about Sharp Viewcam VL-NZ50U Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I discovered that my video camera was in the "record" position but was not actually taping as the pause button was on. However, though I can play back tapes mini DV tapes that I have recorded, I only have a blank, white image when it is placed on the "camera" mode to record. Should I even try to fix it? Or does this sound like a problem where I would be better off just getting a new camera?
This problem can certainly be fixed and is not that expensive : the no image in capture mode when you can playback is caused by faulty CCD sensor and you might even have it done free of charge because it is often a faulty sensor that goes in your camera during manufacture. Sony in particular repairs these faults free of charge, but others do too.
