I have a samsung scd353 that is about 2 yrs old. In june i was recording my sons kindergarten graduation and half way through the festivites it got distorted. I kinda of tapped it on the side and it got better. The other night i turned it on and it was distorted so i tapped it again and it just went black. When its in camra mode on standby or record its black, the playback from when i recorded the distortion is also distorted. If it is not fixable how can i save the tapes i have already recorded.
Problem is fixable and not expensive either : CCD sensor is faulty and needs replacing. You do have a case for having this problem sorted out by Samsung agent free of charge because the sensor should last 10 years +.

My samsung is two years old and I have only used it a half a dozen times. Tonight I was taping Christmas and everything was fine. Ten miutes later the screen went blurry to black. I can hear the audio but can't see anything in either record or playback mode. I understand this could be a sensor issue so who do I contact to get my camera fixed?
Thank you,
KC
I have the same kinda problem EXCEPT I was filming a buddy skate and someone ran into me and it had MINOR drop damage. Now it only works if I press down on the camera lenses.
Mine did the same thing, mine was a christmas gift almost four years ago and two years ago the screen when black and if it's on player it works but it records nothing but black and shows nothing but black. If it is the CCD sensor how would I replace that?
