hi,the remote for my xsara will not work,i've tried everything,including all these 'solutions' that are sold on EBAY.i've replaced the battery,in my remote,but still no joy.help anyone.

-   i have the same problem the central locking works with the key but the remote key fob will not lock or unlock the doors or boot i have tried a new battery in the remote.-   Guest

I haven't done it but apparently once you replace the battery in the remote you also have to do a 'resync' process (information from cxoc.net forums):

-switch ignition ON
-press and hold lock button for 10 seconds
-switch ignition off
-wait 3 seconds
-synchronisation procedure is complete
-confirm sync. with locking and unlocking the vehicle
