Hey i need some help. i plugged my ps2 in to the tv and power outlet. when i hit the power button it just goes to a blank screen.
wat am i checking it for....there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with the audiovideo cable. i did get it to work once. i must have hit the reset button as i was putting it back on the tv, and it stopped working. where u plug the cable into the ps2, the is a little black cylinder thing, it is loose...if it is a mother board fraud do i have to replace it?

1 lug it in
you should have a plug wire that goes to the outlet
the other end plugs into the ac port on the back
then the three colored wires correspond to the the colored jacks on the back of your tv
the flat end of that wire goes in the flat hole of the ps2 in back
set your tv to whatever input you plugged you ps2 in
tada that simple
Check for outlets marked video in, audio in l,r on the back, side or front of your tv. The yellow ps2 plug would go into the video in, red & white would plug into the l,r audio in. You would then need to set the tv to video 1 setting in order to play. Hope this helps.
Haha i understand your distress :) if your slim ps2 is not turning on, first check and make sure that all your wires and stuff are all plugged in to EVERYTHING. also, make sure your outlet works too. corroded electrical outlets wont work. Also, make sure your PS2 cooler is not blocked in any sort of way. if you need any more issues, just ask :) ~~RJ~~
Could possibly be that it is not connected up correctly, or your playstation has died. If you have access to another playstation, hook it up to your cables as they are hooked up. If the screen works. Your playstation has died.
If not, and you have the same issues, try their cables, and if that doesn't work. You have it plugged in incorrectly.
try to trouble shoot if the wire is the problem, how? remove the 3 colored wires from the tv and ps2 then try to use the red color instead of yellow to the video from tv and ps2 (both red) temporarily do not use the yellow color. once a picture appears use now the white for the audio (both white) for left audio once there is a sound you may try the yellow for the right audio. i hope this will help you and hear a positve reply from you.
