My dell vostro 1540 sometimes beeps 3 times on startup and no display

Try this. press the Windows key & R. Brings up RUN.
type this in the box... shutdown -s -f Press Enter. See if that shuts it down.

On the Vostro™ 1440, 1450, 1540, 1550, 2420 and 2520, use the Fn + F2 key to turn wireless/bluetooth On or Off. Use Windows Mobility Center in the control panel to check the status of the wireless connection.
