normally in the display you have clock: put the right time that you need to put entering with the keypads, and then enter+clock and ready. However will be a good idea to read you owner manual for better instruction. if you do not have it. download for free.

However, only some models will allow you to change between standard and military time display modes. Try holding down the CLOCK button until the display prompts you to enter the time. Iain's solution is great but one addition to it which threw me completely.... if changing your clock in the afternoon.... the time isn't using a 24hr clock, it's just a 12 hour one so if you are wondering why the time still won't set try using the 12hr clock instead
