I have been given an old Faema machine that doesnt have a manual with it there is no id on the model except ''Nuova Compact'' - the steam and water outlets are working but water is not coming through the coffee -
Above the outlets there are a button on the left - opens hot water outlet
a button on the right - opens steamer and in the middle is a lever above the coffee outlet.
Can anyone help with a manual or basic instructions?

-   Thanks z34aga.
There is no water coming through the group at all, only through the steamer and hot water spout.
I will have to check the number tomorrow and will get back to you now I know where to look for it.

-   Since I first got my machine, every time it ran out of water, I had trouble re-starting the water flow. I always resolved teh problem by turning it off and back on, 1, 2 or 3 times, maiking sure it got cold in between.
This time, I did not run out of water, and the water flow (through for coffee) decided to stop working, right when pouring a cup. What to do ? Service center in Montreal Quebec, Canada, south-shore?-   Guest

Whenever the machine is plugged in it starts to pump water into the catch pan. If it is switched to steam or coffee it pumps the water through there, but doesn't stop pumping unless it is unplugged. Water is warm but not hot.

My Breville machine pumps water out of the reservoir and into the catch pan, or to whatever position that you switch it to, but never stops to heat and create pressure for steam. It does it whether it the power button is on or not, all it needs is to be plugged in. I have to unplug it to stop it from pumping. What is the problem?
pump not working, no pumping water
