M300 toshiba connecting to locally, not connect to internet

I am able to connect local net work by wifi, but it is not able to connect the internet, can you please tell me the reason for that. How i can solve the matter? My other same machine is able connect internet.

it is not configuring an auto ip.

Dear Anup,

It is an unsecured connection, while i am trying to connect, lap top is showing connected"local access only", it is preventing from the internet connection, i am using a unsecured wifi connection.

I am not using any cable to connect the net/local connection

Hi Shifsa,

Kindly provide few more details.

1. Name of the router and the ISP

2. Is it secured or unsecured.

3. What heppend when to go to start > connect to > select yr network and click connect.

4. Does it connect directly with an ethernet cable.

Dear Shifsa,

Considering the fact that you are trying to connect to a wifi connection which of course is unsecured,
here are some workarounds..

1. Uninstall the wireless card driver.
Go to device manager > click on the + sign beside network adapters > right click on the wireless adapter and select uninstall. Restart the computer it should get reinstalled automatically.

2. try disabling or uninstalling the antivirus or internet security software. you can later on again download the a free software from www.hippo.com

then go to device manager
and click wifi card, update, so the MS PnP driver servers can up date the wifi card drivers
then log in , after eithernet cable pulled.

My hotspot software is always displaying error in soft ap

I also had the same problems in my laptop, but I had tried many ways, this problems couldn't be fixed. A friend told me maybe I need to reintalled the system. However, I didn't want to do. Finally, I tried to use other wifi software. A program named OSToto Hotspot can run. You can have a try!

My toshiba computers wifi won't work but I know that the wifi works because I am on my iPod touch right now and obviously I am connected to my wifi but anyways on my computer it keeps so no Internet...

There is a wireless switch on you laptop. See if its turned on.
Most wifi connections are connected to DHCP service either in router or after the AP. Make sure your laptop does not have static ips : this can help you: http://www.computing-tips.net/Change_IP_Address_Windows_7

I am trying to wirelessly connect to a netgear wnr2000 router, and while i can get local connectivity I cannot get internet access. Ethernet connection does work, however. I'm using windows...

I am having exactly the same problem - driving me mad! It seems it does not pick up the ISP addresses.

Wifi allows connectivity for device to device as local area networks. Where connecting the ipod to the computer is a local area network. My Toshiba Satellite L305-S5921 won't connect wireless or wired to my internet it shows the net works and signals and can be connected to the router but ends up with local or limited service I've reset the...

Try disconnect the router and connect your laptop to the dsl modem. If there is connection then the router may have problems. If the problem persists then go to toshiba service center. They will certainly solve your problem. It might be that there are problems on hardware or drivers.

If there's a local WiFi connection, it happens automatically. If you don't have local WiFi and a login and password, then you can't connect to the internet.

Make sure Internet is enabled for that connection. Try plugging directly in to the router and see if you get internet.
