Towel ring - I'm looking for plastic ''collars'' which fit into the wall mounted ring holder and, into which the end of the towel ring is mounted. Where do I obtain such things and what are they called please ?

To remove a Delta towel rod from the wall, you will need to first locate the mounting brackets that hold the rod in place. These will typically be located at each end of the rod, and will be secured to the wall with screws. Here are the steps to remove the towel rod:
Gather the tools you will need, including a screwdriver or drill with screwdriver bit.
Locate the mounting brackets at each end of the towel rod.
Using the screwdriver or drill, remove the screws that secure the brackets to the wall.
Carefully lift the towel rod off of the brackets and set it aside.
If the mounting brackets are not reusable or you do not plan to reuse them, you can remove them from the wall by removing any remaining screws.
There are larger screw-type anchors available at a hardware store. If the hole is a half inch, you can possibly use an expanding wing type "molly" anchor. it's hard to assemble the screws through the bracket, then put on the butterfly, and shove the folded butterfly into the hole, but it's doable.
Usually there is a set screw in the side of the wall mount. If there is loosen that and take the towel ring down. There maybe a second nut or fastener you can tighten up the ball with. If not just buy another one. Some just get worn out over time its normal.

(The size of the hole required for the wall fastener will be marked on the packaging.) Install the wall fastener into the wall, then mount the hardware onto the wall and place the ends of the towel bar over the hardware. Attach the towel bar to the mounting hardware using the screws included with the towel bar. These are commonly small-slotted screws located on the bottom of the end pieces of the towel bar.
