Hi I have a panasonic KX-T433 phone system which I am trying to put in speed dial numbers, we have to dial 9 to dial out does any one know how to do this using a 9 in front?

You have neither a 7730 (the category you asked in) or a 7433 phone sytem. If your phone is really a 7433, you have a TD phone system. Which "speed dial numbers" are you trying to program? System speed dials, are stored in system program 001 and consist of a 3 digit number (may be 2) with a "9" in front and the number as you would dial it from the keypad. Personal speed dial numbers depend on the button you're programming it onto. If it's a button with a light, you dial "2" in front of it. If not, you don't. So, Program 99, button, and either 29 + number STORE or 9+number STORE programs a personal speed dial.

There are other programs to store under the tone pad keys. Those features are covered in your User's manual for the TD system.

Model kx-tc 1743W some of the keys in the dial pad have to be pushed more than once, or pushed harder to make contact.

This may be caused by accumulation of dirt.
- Turn the box upside down and blow the keys and give it a gentle bang

Programing Speed dial on Walker W1000 Clarity Phones

I solved my problem by trial and error!

Steps to program speed dial on the Walker/Clarity Model W-1000 Touch Tone Sound Amplifier desk set phone w/large number pad.

1. Choose phone number to program including the (#1) digit for a long distance direct dial if
needed.
Write chosen number(s) on a scratch pad as a guide for numbers. Identify numbers with the
names or contact description (ie."Mom's Cell Phone.")

2. Remove hand set receiver from phone.

3. Press "memory set" button ONCE on the phone located uder the receiver on the desk set.

4. Enter phone number chosen, including area codes and long distance prefixes if needed!

5. Locate the speed dial position button you want for that number...(located adjacent to
tag/pad slot for name and/or phone number to be written after entering.

6. Press the speed dial position button (ONCE). Then replace receiver back in craddle.

7. Try out speed/dial program. Pick up receiver, push speed dial button(position) listen to see if
correct phone number is contacted. Once established as correct; program additional speed dial
numbers: ie family, business, as needed.
8. DO NOT TRY TO PROGRAM THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY 911 NUMBER! Keep this in your
own memory!
9. If you make a mistake while entering a phone number: Stop, Hang up phone and start all over
again in the procedure sequence.

10. Remove white "description pad with slots for names or numbers) from underneath clear
plastic cover.(use a paper clip end to lift up plastic cover). Write name/description for that number
on white pad(ie. "Mom's Cell") Use a PENCIL FOR DESCRIPTIONS!!

11. TO SAVE TIME AND INCONVENIENCE TO PERSONS/BUSINESSES OF HAVING TO
ANSWER YOUR CALLS; CHOOSE A AUTOMATED ANSWERING NUMBER (USUALLY A
BUSINESS ANSWERING AUTOMATED SERVICE (IE. LARGE INSTITUTIONAL PHONE
NUMBER THAT HAS A MENU PROMPT usually a AT&T 800 # will have a prompt menu
USE this procedure to see if you program correctly then once you know how; go back and re-
enter all the numbers that you actually want on your speed dial settings.

Key Pad buttons require more force to accept the input - loosing memory!

I have the same phone with the same problem and didn't want to part with it either. The cause of the problem are skin oils that seep down the rubber keys, and through slots at the base of the molded pad, thereby interfering with electrical contact. There is a vendor on ebay that sells a tape like pad with larger contacts that solves the problem perfectly. Go to ebay and use the following search term (I know this isn't the same model number, but its apparently compatible) :

Panasonic KX-TGA230 KX-TGA270 KX-TGA230B BUTTON FIX

The price is 5.95 including shipping. The repair pad will come with an instruction sheet, or you can go to the website on the instruction sheet and download about a 40Meg video file that shows you exactly how to make the repair. My phone operates with a nice light touch now that its fixed. Good luck.

Programming numbers into telephone

to store a speed dial on the kx-t7730 with the Advanced Hybrid System KX-TA624 you press the following keys

<pick up the receiver>
2
*
<the number you want to have as speed dial>
<the number you want to dial>
<press the square shaped key next to 0 and 9>
<wait for dial tone to return>
<hang up>

To call using the now saved speed dial, press the square shaped key and then the number you have saved to speed dial

For example

<pick up receiver> 2*1555555555<square key> <wait for dial tone> <hang up>

This will mean that when you press the square key and 1, it will dial 555555555
