Tap the icon in the lower right hand corner that should have a picture of a person from the shoulders up, or a card with that picture inside it. Either way, lower right hand corner from the main screen.
i have a 47" inch lcd sanyo t.v. and my kids accidentally shot it with an air-soft gun. and there is a crack where the pellet hit and there is also a crack running down that spot. Also the screen has these lines running up and down the screen. Different colors. and i was wondering if it was possible to fix.
if the crack does not affect picture quality then it's only cosmetic, and you can use Krazy glue or a 5min epoxy to fill it in.
If however the crack does affect picture quality, then you could look into a repair center for repair and get an estimate. If the estimate will be over $100 then you may want to think about buying a new LCD tv.
Most LCD tv's have very small and long lightbulbs at the top and bottom. In the middle back are the electronics....The screen itself is made up of many layers of specialized plastics.
So if you dropped it on a hard surface, and in the future the screen turns dark on you at some point while on, then one or more of the bulbs would've been damaged.
My screen is not "cracked" although it does look like its cracked in lower right corner. It's black on that side about 1/2" from edge althe way to the top an the other side is very shaded. This makes seeing the picture impossible to see with any clarity.
I don't have a listing for your model, but it is not unusual for the panel to cost more than a replacement set. As another example, the replacement tube (CRT) for a 27" Sony set can easily be $700. This was when these sets were being sold for $350!! Parts is where these companies rake in big profits. Don't blame the servicer for this one.

Sounds like to may have a yoke loose on a tube. If it's not that, you may have somehow damaged the convergence board. Look for any cracks in the board. If you find any, solder across the beaks and it should be fine. Good luck and I hope this has helped in some way

I would open the back, behind the screen and see if the mirror mounts are damaged. if they are it could be almost impossible to alighn the set properly. good Luck
