sorry I dont know the name of the cable but its flat with orange blue green red and white wires. It has jumper type plugs on it that goes into the motherboard.
I dont know how to place them on the motherboard so that it powers up.
The cable is labled with diff led cables pw, reset, etc.
Do you know how I place them on the motherboard?
The motherboard has 9 PINS in the spot where the cable goes and they are yellow, green, blue and red.
The cable doesnt seem to plug into the logical color spot.
I know the pc will power up if they're in the right place. I accidently pulled it off the motherboard not realizing they were all separated and not one piece. When I took it off I didnt know what order to put them back in.
This is not my pc. I have not manuals and i cant even tell what kind of motherboard this is. M863G

- As it turns out, only the LED's are a problem if their cables are connected the wrong way around. The LED's are diodes, so they have polarity. If you have an LED cable on the right pins, but the wrong way around, then the LED won't light up. It won't hurt anything, either. For the LED to work, line up the black wire on the cable connector with the motherboard header pin identified as ground (GND, or pull-down).
I found this online. I ended up plugging in the red and white wires first as is was the power sw and the pc came on. I connected the remaining wires to their color match. They need to be inserted to the pn1 and pn2 headers so that the metal pieces are facing the middle. The labled part should be on the outside after you plug them in
hey look close to the nearby processorin motherboard there is 9 pin (depends on motherboard) for power and for reset button... close your eyes to motherboard at that place you will find also the name which are mention in motherboard e.g. power and reset in motherboard just plug red wire in power and and green for reset ( depends on motherboard) you an chk manually ...
