Hi,
I'd suggest that there's a problem with your SIM.
Take it back to the shop you bought the phone or the SIM from & get them to sort it out for you.?
The only other thing I will suggest is that there may be an activation code which you've not activated, so the SIM isn't working...... yet.?
Best of luck
if you can still dial someone, but can`t receive anything, try dial ##002# , then ask someone to call you. for the txt verify the sms center number, if you don`t know it call customer service
ok... i started having the same problem after i got a battery saving app that controls the data input/output. well i just uninstalled. i think it might have screwed with the radio network whatever it is. so ima take it into the store soon to see if they can fix it if all else fails
I flashed and flexed the set but to no avail, tried a software update but no update was available from motorola. I then went to the Security settings of the set and restricted all outgoing calls and restricted all incoming calls except the phonebook entries. Then I dialed my mobile using a landline which was on my phonebook and my phone started recieving the calls, then after that I allowed all incoming and outgoing calls. This solved the problem. I believe it is sheer luck because I tried that step earlier on the same day but it gave no result.
You can toggle each individual phone extension as to whether or not it recieves a "voice" call or a "ring-first" call.
At the extension, press "SPEAKER - 60" it will display the mode. Press the * (asterick) key to toggle between the modes. Then press SPEAKER again to set.
