Viewing photos on camera after downloading

My camera has been working fine, however i've just come back from a holiday and i just downloaded my pictures on to my PC which was fine but then when i went to look at the pictures on my camera again they were gone. I haven't deleted any of the pictures they have just disappeared. When i turn my camera on it the first screen is the same as if i hadn't taken any photos but then when my camera is plugged into the computer with the usb cable and i click on the G:drive (which is the one my camera is in) then it lets me view the photos from there, which suggests to me that they are still on my memory card but my camera just won't let me view them! How can i see my photos on my my camera again? i'm supposed to be taking my photos to show someone but they haven't got a pc so i can't email the pictures. please help!

Your memory card has a virus! try formatting using camera. make it a habit that whenever you reinsert the memory card in your camera format it first before taking shots, this will erase everything including virus!

Importing pictures

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Hello, I have a Lumix DMC-FS10, I have found that some of my photos have downloaded to thumbprint size which won't seem to go any bigger without distortion and some are normal I unfortunately deleted...

Actually, you still might be able to get those photos back, even though they've been erased. Try not to take any more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.
This sounds like the problem may have occurred because you might not have formatted the card in your camera as recommended by the manufacturer. If true, after you've recovered your photos, format the card in your camera using the camera's format feature. This will prevent this from happening again.

get an sd card reader at walmart or any other place that has some computer stuff there like 5 to 10 dollars they plug in by usb connection and are usually much faster way to get stuff off the card.

I have been using picture motion browser to download and edit photos from my Nikon 2000. I have already downloaded a batch of photos and deleted some that I now want to recover. The pictures are still in...

DO NOT PANIC. The data is still there on the memory card or stick of your camera as long as you haven't taken any more photos since then.

They can be recovered using photo recovery software, there are lots of them available with different benefits and features. I recommend you have a try of Wondershare Photo Recovery, a software which can also recover lost video and music files. Get the program from the links below.

Photo Recovery Download (if you are running Windows OS)
Mac Photo Recovery Download (for Apple Mac OS X)

Download and install the trial version on your computer, then connect your camera memory card ans start to recover.

1. Take the free trial version first.
2. Before your deleted items are recovered, do not save more files to the card.

I hope you good luck, Happy the Holiday!

Unable to View Photos/Video - is my SD card to blame?

The question to ask is - is you camera happy with a 2 Gig card? Coming to files on the card you could try one or more of the recovery programs for example for 'pc inspector' see what this manages to pull up. You also try 'Irfanview' which has a little more latitude at file discrimination that a regular editor.

Corrupted Pictures?

i suggest you always format the card in your camera every time you release it and use in your pc. card may get infected with virus and may affect the performance. never format card in pc! Better save pictures in hdd or cd than in mem cards.
