My camcorder stopped recognizing the battery. I thought it was my battery, I purchased a new battery. Still have the same problem.
The message the pops on the screen is "For Infolithium Battery Only". Battery is fully charge. When I turn on, for about 10 seconds the camcorder works, then I get the message, then the camcorder turns off.
It is a Sony Infolithium battery F960
Thanks,

hi I have the exact same camera,
i had problems connecting it with the firewire connection but not any of the other connections on the camera. I found that it was down to one of the pins on the DV/Ilink connection, one of them had been bent back. i just used a pin to bend it back into shape and it works again

Try a video card that supports current DirectX. Apparently it has an effect even if you capture without previewing the video. (worked for me, anyway).

I assume that you are running Windows XP in your PC and have Sony DCR-TRV19 camcorder.
Please go to camera Menu and enable USB stream option. Computer will recognize camcorder.
If any thing is different, let me know to help you out.
