I can't answer that question, only you can....How often do you change the filter?
Now if you wish to know how often you should change the filter
every six months to a year depending on use.,,,once a week use- every year.....two or three time a week-every six months

I need to find out how to open the cover to change the motor filter on my Electrolux Epic Series 6500 sr canister vacuum.

There is not a replaceable motor filter inside the body of the vacuum. There is an exhaust filter under the cover on top which can be removed by pushing a little tab at the rear of the cover.

How do I change the Filter on My Electrolux Guardian C134C ?

Firmly grasp each side of the HEPA filter and pull up with a quick snap. It will come right off. lay new one in place and simply "pop" back on.

How to clean a washable electrolux filter

Hi There,
Ok so i am going to assume you are talking about an Electrolux filter that is basically a rectangle shape with a hard plastic outer and folded corrugated filter material in the middle. The link I put to Electrolux filter would be a good example. Basically I would caution you against washing it. I know the packaging says that it is washable but what I have found is that the pores of the filter material are too fine for water to pass through. What will happen is that the vacuums suction will wedge tiny bits of dirt and dust in the pores and water will not necessarily flush it out. What is far more likely to happen is that it will wash out a fair amount but leave a portion in the filter to set and therefore continue to block suction.
You are better to use an air compressor or simply tap the filter out on a piece of newspaper and change it every year or so.
Of course if your filter is more like a Electrolux UltraActive filter which is basically foam then you simply rinse it out like a kitchen sponge and make sure it is bone dry before putting back in the machine.

Electrolux 2100 vac dies when you attach hose even with new bag.

If the bag full light keeps coming on, you can first try adjusting the dial on top of the vacuum cleaner. If that does not work, then you need to change the control valve. This is an internal component of the canister and is directly below the dial. You will need to follow the instructions on a previous post to open the Electrolux plastic canister vacuum, and remove the bage cage. Once you remove the bage cage you can change the control valve, and this will solve your problem with the bag full indicator.
