I BROKE MY LAPTOP SCREEN, SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE OFF EBAY MINUS THE HARDDRIVE. PUT MY HARDDRIVE IN IT AND ITS NEVER HAD A HDD LOCK BUT DOES NOW. BOOTS AND THEN ASK FOR HDD PASSWORD. GIVES ME THREE TRIES AND THEN LOCKS. HOW CAN I TAKE THIS OFF. I HAVE HEARD THAT IT PROBABLY HAS A CODE OR SOMETHING FACTORY.

- I have the same problem. I bought my Dell lattutude laptop from ebay without the hard drive and put the hard drive from my dell inspiron 1200 in the lattitude notebook and it locked! I never set a hard drive password and I have no idea how to get acess to my hard drive. HELP!
