I refilled a 33 colour cartridge still says low

The following cartridges will work with your printer:

BLACK Cartridge = 32 OR 34
COLLER Cartridge = 33 OR 35
PHOTO Cartridge = 31
......

34 and 35 are refillable. The ones you get with your printer aren't.
Now, I don't understand why the colors are mixed. Is the 35 you tried a new cartridge or a refilled one?

The magic words "refilled cartridge" says it all. Like all the other makers they put a little bit of ID info on each cartridge. This is detected when "replacing" there own existing empty / dried up cartridge.

Refilling uses the same cartridge and so no new cartridge ... so to the simple low tech sensor .. you are still out of ink. Lex usually asks questions to verify old new etc. Don't worry enjoy the low cost re filling gives you. You can also turn off the messages .. GL be happy

Using a refill for this printer will not "do damage." The damage they are referring to is if you continue printing with an empty cartridge you can damage the print head on the cartridge. Since you replace the print head every time you replace the cartridge, you never damage your printer.

I have refilled my cartridges many, many times. A messy job, but well worth the savings. Never over fill, handle carefully.
The printer will give an error message, but just press cancel, do not order a new cartridge, Your refilled cartridge will work on the lexmark x5470. Good luck.

try these steps

1. Press Power to turn off your printer.
2. Unplug it from the wall outlet.
3. Plug in it again.
4. Reinstall the cartridges.(not the printer software)

There should be a dialogue box that pops up on your computer when the cartridge is low telling you to order new ones. Usually there is a box you can check to tell it to ignore that the cartridge is low. If you don't get the dialogue box, somewhere in your printing preferences you should be able to tell it to "ignore ink levels." There does not exist a cartridge that "does not contain this circuitry." There are no compatibles of these cartridges and all refills are of original manufacturer cartridges.

NEVER use refilled cartridges, or even generic ones, for that matter. Always use genuine inks. These days printers come with sensors to determine if you are using refills. I know it is cheaper, but it will prevent a lot of headache and expensive repairs in the long run if you use genuine cartridges.

I have same problem, tried print head alignment but no results. Will not recognize refilled cartridge. HELP!!
